From the creators of the hit book “Mother’s Day at at the Orphanage” and the film “Bodega?,” comes the latest David Leigh Jaunt, “Balls?” Billed as “a short film and a long overdue #metoo chat,” Balls takes a sly, knowing look at the issues of street harassment that those born without balls deal with on a daily basis. Premiering Friday, July 13th at New York’s Ceremony224, before making the festival rounds, the film short features music by Brooklyn indie bands Dahl Haus and Death By Piano. Both bands will perform live sets to close out the evening’s event, which will also feature DJ sets by members of the band BoyToy.
Leigh’s earlier film, “Bodega?” (which featured music by both Dahl Haus and Death by Piano, as well as the Dandy Warhols) explored where gentrification and music culturally intersect, will be screened before the premiere.
