DAHL HAUS is "spacey art-pop songs as written by a wicked pen, sung by leather lungs, and played by beasts. What's not to love?" ~ Jesse Krakow, WFMU radio

During a Dahl Haus show celebrating her 21st birthday, Blaise Dahl called up on stage the women whose old IDs had enabled the young singer/songwriter/music producer to get in and play clubs and bars throughout NYC and Brooklyn since she was 15 years old. The multi-talented frontwoman of the Brooklyn-based band Dahl Haus weaves dreamy art pop, grunge, goth, and angsty indie rock with electronic noise, distortion, and the occasional cult film soundbite into dark and moody musical landscapes, dotted with flashes of sparkling light, and guided by lyrics that shapeshift through the drama of life and love with a restless spirit.

That restlessness is evident in her many side projects. Always looking to expand her musical expression, when the invitation was extended, she jumped at the opportunity to join New York’s beloved Twin Peaks supergroup, Fuck You, Tammy! (a/k/a The Band From Another Place) as guitarist and back-up singer, channeling the sounds of David Lynch’s extended cinematic universe. The Summer of 2024 finds her exploring her country rock roots on the debut tour of The Midnight Cowgirls, opening for those legendary rockabilly heroes, the Stray Cats.

Blaise Dahl has toured as the bassist for solo projects of Jennie Vee (Eagles of Death Metal, Courtney Love) and a replacement bassist for the Slim Jim Phantom Trio. She’s worked with artists Jesse Krakow (Shudder to Think), Eric Slick (Dr. Dog), Joe McGinty (Psychedelic Furs, Losers Lounge), Pat Irwin (The B-52s), Mike Peters (The Alarm), Nona Hendryx (LaBelle), and even sang on special commission for the Brooklyn Philharmonic.

Not surprisingly, subtle glimpses of Dahl’s social conscience often bleed through her lyrics. She's served on two public outreach programs for MTV: at 16, as an original member of the network's anti-bullying platform, A Thin Line, and, later, as a panel member for MTV's anti-bias initiative, Look Different.

A hardcore horror film fan-- her songs have sampled dialogue from “Night of the Creeps” and “Evil Dead II”-- Dahl also co-hosts/co-produces a horror podcast called Top Kvlt.
